Self motivation is a very popular topic among network marketers and MLM business builders, for good reason. Without motivation, you have nothing. The best opportunity in the world is worthless if you are not motivated to achieve success and make money with it.I was doing some reading today about home business entrepreneurs and how they found success. These four points stood out as keys to getting and staying motivated.
Develop Your Plan of Action
In MLM and network marketing, you won’t go far if you don’t have a plan of action in place. You simply must know where you are going and what you want to achieve. Period. There is no way around this. Make sure you know how you are going to build your MLM business. You can always adjust your plan if needed as things move along.
Set Your Priorities Carefully
Life in these times is just way too busy. It is harder than ever to make time to build a real MLM business. Sometime it is necessary to use time you might normally spend doing other things. If you have the right reasons for building your MLM business, it should be enjoyable and challenging. The secret is to set priorities for your time and decide where and when you will work.
Surround Yourself with Positive People
If you read “Think and Grow Rich”, you know that Napoleon Hill talked about “Mastermind Groups”. These are groups of like-minded people working together toward similar goals. You should surround yourself with people who are positive and uplifting. It’s okay if they aren’t interested in a home business, what’s important is that they are supportive and encouraging. We all need support and encouragement on a regular basis.
Reduce the Influence of Negative People
Some radical MLM thinkers will advise that you “cut off” friends who are negative and drag you down. I certainly don’t recommend dumping a friend and never speaking to them again. Maybe your attitude will rub off a little and help them some day. I do recommend that you avoid spending a lot of time with negative people, or hanging around them often. As mentioned above, find and make friends who are positive and uplifting.
Building any home business, whether network marketing or anything else, requires a good attitude and positive action. Think about these four principles and apply them to your life. You will see a difference.
