Mark Yarnell

Mark Yarnell is a motivational speaker, trainer and author. He is also a legend in the network marketing business. During the past 22+ years, he built a huge sales organization with Nu Skin Enterprises consisting of more than 300,000 distributors, located in more than 20 countries. That’s no small feat.


He built his Nu Skin business the old fashioned way. He contacted family and friends and prospected in his local area. He used the telephone to follow up with leads. He advertised in newspapers. He built his business using “old school” recruiting techniques. He still teaches many of these same practices today. Although many people now use the Internet to build their MLM business, “old school” techniques are still effective. In fact, they are often overlooked.

During the past few years, Mark Yarnell transitioned his focus to MLM training. He still has a large downline with Nu Skin, but focuses more on training basic MLM principles to current network marketers. He does the training through seminars, audio program and books. He also has his own blog. Personally, I’ve found that many successful distributors eventually walk away from their MLM business and shift their focus to MLM training.

In my opinion, the MLM training industry presents a better income opportunity than network marketing itself. After all, so many people are struggling to build a successful MLM business. Most failing network marketers will gladly spend money to learn what it takes to succeed.

If there is one thing I really admire about Mark Yarnell, it’s his work ethic. From day one, he took his Nu Skin business seriously. He has been quoted as saying (paraphrased) that “you need to talk to at least 30 people a day, about either your business opportunity or products.” Obviously, he knows what he is talking about. I’d gladly follow the advice of someone who built a downline with more than 300,000 members. Wouldn’t you?

Mark comes from humble beginnings. He started the industry with no special skills. Instead, he rolled up his sleeves, worked hard, and learned what it takes to succeed. He has a strong work ethic, tenacity and perseverance. All of these skills are necessary to succeed in network marketing.

In addition, Mark Yarnell has many accolades and awards. In addition to the millions of dollars he’s earned in the industry, he was named the Greatest Networker in the World by “Upline” Magazine. Furthermore, he was inducted into the Network Marketing Hall of Fame. At the time of this writing, he is on the faculty at the nation’s only college certified course on network marketing, at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

If you want to succeed in MLM, you will need to do what Mark Yarnell did. You must share your business opportunity with hundreds (or thousands) of people. That way, you can sift and sort through the sand, in order to find the gold. This business really is a numbers game. Although, I am not affiliated with Mark Yarnell in any way, I really appreciate everything he has done for our industry. I hope to achieve similar success.
